This past Sunday we went to Mrs. Lee's Farm here in Gladewater. The air was cool, the sun was bright. It was a perfect day. The only down side is that the flowers had too much heat this past week and had lost their blooms. But as you can see we got in some great shots. It was still a perfect day. Another example of "just get outside" the kids will bring the fun.

Carlie Rae's 6th Birthday

February 14th was Carlie's 6th birthday. We had a few friends over, made some cake and had some fun.

Neal and Quay don't look real happy, but I assure you that they had a great time. Then there is Carlie, Chloie, Abbey, Hailey, Megan, Brandon and Caleb.

Then we had Strawberry Shortcake Cake. It was really good. Can you remember when you were 6. What a wonderful time in life for most of us. No worries. We just love this girl. She and her brother have brought lots of joy to our home. We are glad we were chosen to be thier parents.

NEW LOVES IN OUR LIVES

We would like to introduce you to our latest love. This is Peppermint. She is adopted from the Build a Bear Foundation. As you can tell by the photo Carlie Rae is head over heals over this little bear. I love that even in her sleep she has a death grip on her. I can remember a day not so long ago that my nights were always snugglier with my stuffed animals. I was not a baby doll girl. Animals all the way. They are amazing when you can see yourself in them in so many things. I hope she gets all the good stuff.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

Today is the day of love. What a great day for the Lord. Isn't that what He is all about.
Take the time to tell Him you love him. And be sure to love the ones at home. Some times we are the toughest on the ones we love the most. I know I am. Make today full of hugs and kisses. (Maybe even on the ones who are hardest to love). If you are reading this you are my friend and I LOVE YOU.

The Crazy Days of Carlie Rae

There are days that your kids simply crack you up. After Quay's birthday party they had been playing with the baloons, and I heard Carlie Rae laughing loud, out loud. She had put Dolly Parton to shame. I nearly wet my pants laughing at her. Look at the smile on that face. She thought she had really done something! Well it worked. She had us in tears.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

VALENTINE'S DAY IS A PRETTY BIG DAY FOR OUR FAMILY. NOT ONLY WAS THIS OUR VERY FIRST DATE. ( THAT WOULD BE ME AND MATT). BUT OUR PRECIOUS CARLIE WAS BORN ON THIS DAY. HOW MUCH FUN IS IT TO HAVE A GIRL ON VALENTIN'S DAY.
HER VERY FIRST BIRTHDAY WAS A PINK, PAJAMA, PANCAKE, PARTY. AND IT SNOWED!!!
WE HAD A BLAST. THIS YEAR SHE WILL TURN 6 YEARS OLD, AND I AM SO EXCITED THAT SHE FINALLY DECIDED THAT SHE WAS READY TO TURN 6. FOR THE LONGEST TIME SHE WAS PLANNING TO STAY 5. THAT WAS IT, "I'M NOT TURNING 6".

It is time for some serious game playing. And they won there first game. It was action packed.
I am amazed at these guys! They are having a blast, and doing great. The ended up winning the game 20 -6. It went by so fast.

Well it is 2009. Can you even believe that!!! (scream) The years are clicking by.
I could say that not much has happened this past year, but actually it has been quite eventful. And in a wonderful way. We have grown in alot of areas, and for a change I'm not talking about our weight. This year we have made some wonderful friendships. New ones that are already very dear to us. Friendships that are not new that have been tried and grew stronger. I know that the friendship that I have with my husband gets stronger and stronger as our years together pass. I am so thankful for the husband God chose for me. He is a wonderfully fun , loving, caring and a God fearing man. My children are growing like crazy. The are precious to me.
I am going a little crazy because I have tons of pictures of the holidays and my conmputer is in the hospital. I am updating now on my work computer. So hopefully I will have a plethera of pics for you to enjoy. Until then... Happy New Year!!!
