We gotcha!!
We have this wonderful friend and she and her family just bought a new home. Tonight is the FIRST night to spend in there newly remodeled home. We simply had to do something for her. Could we bake her a basket of muffins, take her a new house plant, or some new decor....No that would just not do. There is nothing that says we love you more than to have your front porch saran wrapped and your front bushes T.P.ed.Congratulations on your new home. We do love you. (And if you need us to come clean it up we will.)

i'm goin' to the River
If I tell you I am headed to the river, this is where I am. The Cabin. There is no phone, and some cell phones don't work down there. There is a TV. We get one channel, and there is a DVD player for those rainey days. Up stairs is the living quarters, where some unbelieveable naps have been had by young and old. Down stairs is the screened in porch. There is big fireplace
down stairs with a swing for hanging out when it is so cold you have to come in and thaw out after riding on the 4 wheelers for a while. We are getting to where we have Thanksgiving down there every year. It's just a great place to unwind. Are ya ready to go?
No make up is allowed. Well I did color my eyebrows in. I can't look suprised if I don't have my eyebrows
done.
We spent some of our afternoon out on the deck just watching the river go by. It was cool outside and a nap is always called for, buy I didn't get to get one in. Still a great day of unwinding and just hanging out with the family.

Well
the Sabine River is looking a little muddy, but hey it's water.
The weather is perfect this time of year. The water is moving along slowly, there are no sounds except for the breeze in the trees. Now at night it is all together different. The owls are hooting, hogs are rooting, racoons are checkin' everything out, coyotes howling occasionally. It is fun, and REALLY DARK! We love it.

Dress Up at Marmie and Poopaws House
These are Quay's and Carlie's cousins. Hailey on left, and Megan on the right. They are so into dress up. They put on everything they can find including high heels. They are crazy funny. They had been doing some heavy duty singing and dancing.
This is Brandon.
This is my nephew Brandon, he just got a brand new bicycle, and he was getting busy on it at Marmie and Poopaws house last Sunday. He was cracking me up. He had this bicycle for 4 days and was going to town. And looks so cute doing it.

WESTERN DAYS IN HALLSVILLE
Last weekend we went to Western Days in Hallsville. The weather was great, and the kids got a little taste of what it was like during the Civil War times. They did thier first reinactment this year. Quay got to hold a bayonet (gun). Watched how to load it with gunpowder, see that it was like camping all the time. Carlie was pretty sure she wouldn't want to wear a dress all the time. But it was a fun time. They even had the chickens tied off so they got to finally pet a chicken.
The Moore Pumpkin Farm Field Trip Adventure
This past Friday I was able to take the day off to spend the day with Carlie in the Pumpkin Patch. We had a blast!.
Carlie had her first field trip made on A Big Yellow School Bus! I simply got to follow all the way to Bullard. I hadn't realized that Union Grove School Buses had turbo engines in them, because they were there waiting on me and a few other mom's that were left behind in Tyler. We learned when to plant pumpkins (on the 4th of July), how to plow the field, what they look like when to pick, (not the green ones), and what pumpkin guts look like. Oh and we got to touch it too. We had a great hay ride out to the pumpkin patch. Just a great first field trip. What is next... stay tuned.

We had a beautiful afternoon, so it was a perfect
day for being outside taking pictures.
Carlie and her daddy were so excited about
being dressed up and goin' out. And they were
so sweet.
is that the Mom's aren't invited. I wanted to go so bad!!
I am determined, next time that I will be a server or something
so I can be there to watch.
